We
will treat patients with dignity and respect on a non-discriminatory
basis, while encouraging them to lead healthy substance free lives.
Cedar Valley Recovery Services staff will participate in community
outreach to educate the public regarding opiate addiction and methadone
treatment.
Our emphasis is to encourage patients to reduce illegal
drug use, to reduce the risk of HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases;
to eliminate all drugs as the patient stabilizes; and to give the patient
the opportunity and options to further their education and gain meaningful
employment through rehabilitative services.
Methadone is a semi--synthetic substitute for heroin and
other opiates. Individuals that are addicted to opiates suffer from
many physical symptoms when they are unable to satisfy their addiction.
Methadone treatment provides the opiate addicted
person with health, social, and rehabilitative services.
